Sports Development – CSL2 Award

 

 

Activity description

 

The Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful candidates to lead groups of people in sport/activity, under indirect supervision.

 

The qualification teaches generic leadership skills such as organisation, planning, communication and teamwork through the medium of sport. It is available to young people and adults (16+) and is a fun and practical qualification with no entrance requirements or final examinations to sit.

 

A variety of sporting activity including, cricket, football, Dodgeball, trampolining and many more can be used to evidence the following 7 units:


 

Participants must evidence their development by building a portfolio of ideas, activities and achievements. This can be achieved in many formats including photographic and video evidence to suit the group dynamics and individual learning style. As the final part of the course, participants must demonstrate ten hours of leadership within their community during their delivery, and show evidence of a valid First Aid Certificate.

 

Courses are between 20 sessions of 2 hour delivery (depending upon the group’s age, experience, previous learning and ability) and the maximum number of participants for each programme is 12 young people.

- CD/DVD of action photographs and video of the course

- Improved Fitness & awareness of coaching opportunities

Full Time Club (4-5 nights per week) - £972 (10% discount)
Part-time Clubs (2-3 nights per week) - £918 (15% discount)
Weekly Club (or less) - £864 (20% discount)
