Our Services

We provide a comprehensive range of services to young people across Surrey via a membership network of between 80 -100 youth clubs who regularly affiliate to us. These include boxing clubs, cadet corps, junior sports clubs, youth clubs, theatre groups,any type of club that a young person can attend.

Club Development
Many of our affiliates are voluntarily run clubs. These club volunteers need support to deliver the outstanding work they do, – we offer them;
Governance advice – being a trustee is a huge amount of work and we can make that easier with training and help with legal and finance issues including low-cost insurance.
Funding advice – we’ll direct a club to open funds that they can access and help them bid for them – in the last year we’ve aided clubs in receiving over 50k in funding.
Volunteer recruitment and training – we will help clubs recruit volunteers, arrange their DBS and train them in a wide variety of essentials, like child protection, first aid, and basic youth work.
Resources – where a club doesn’t have the resources it needs while we’re getting them funds to buy equipment we will loan them what they need.
Club development advice – we’ll work with the trustees, workers and volunteers to make sure that the club stays vibrant and plan for its future.

Low-cost Activities
We can offer our youth clubs very low cost activities in a whole range of endeavour such as sports, arts and life skills. Where possible we get funding to run these free of charge in our clubs, but also help the clubs to plan low cost activities that they can run in conjunction with the services we offer.

Youth Leadership

Regional Competition and Expeditions
As Surrey Clubs operates across the whole of the county including the South London Boroughs of Merton, Croydon, Sutton, Richmond and Kingston, We arrange competitions that bring clubs together, allowing young people to meet others and represent their club regionally.
We offer the opportunity for young people to represent the county in regional/national competitions and win their county colours
We manage challenges that take the young people out of their normal environment and widen their horizons through our leadership courses and challenges like our 100 mile canoe test – experiences that many independent clubs cannot hope to arrange.

Championing voluntary youth clubs
A key role is our ability to communicate the messages about the work that goes on in our clubs across the county. We engage with a wide range of interested parties, from housing associations and parish councils, town clerks to MP’s as well as statutory organisations such as the police and council youth teams. Ensuring communities, their influencers and funders know about our clubs.
